Three scrappy fahken groms (surfers) navigate a feral paradise on Oahu’s North Shore in the 1990z. After unwittingly stealing from the yakuza, the boys' club gains a fourth member in the crime boss' son as they spiral into a zigzagging, island-style roller coaster of colorful criminals, mischievous Mormons, and low and high crime. The Lava Dogz's braddah-hood will be tested… to da max. A Hawaiian coming-of-age, “dis-organized” crime dramedy written by Ron Milbauer & LeVon Webb. This epic hang — inspired by LeVon’s experience growing up on the North Shore in the 1990's as a haole (caucasian) along with his Hawaiian, Polynesian, and Samoan best friends — has the eccentric humor of a Hawaiian “Reservation Dogs” with the nostalgia of “Stand by Me” and a touch of “Breaking Bad.”
